Join us for a FREE event with tons of entertainment and fun for all ages. Paid Hot Air Balloon Rides can be booked a head of time and tether balloon rides will be offered on a first come first serve basis. Kids activities, food trucks, vendors, live entertainment, RC airplanes, giant kites and much much more!!!

From our iconic morning skies filled with breath taking wonder of balloons to the mesmerizing evening balloon glows, every moment is crafted to spark wonder and celebrate the spirit of adventure that lives in our heart. Not only will you see beautiful hot air balloons come to the Cameron Airport to take in all the fun!!! Enjoy vendors of all kinds, entertainment with live bands, DJ & event MC Jody Rhew, Giant Kites, RC Airplanes, LOTS of kids activities & food trucks.

Morning Competition Flights

Witness the breathtaking sight of 40 balloons filling the horizon. A perfect start to our festival weekend with an early morning competition flight at sunrise. These flights take place each morning (weather permitting), the launch sites are dependent upon the wind direction and the target locations.

Evening Night Glow

Stay after sunset as balloons illuminate the night sky, this is a dazzling display of light. Once the balloons are positioned and standing the crowd will be welcomed out to see the balloons up close and visit with the pilots.

Tethered Rides

Perfect for families and first-timers. Experience the sensation of hovering without leaving the safety of the festival grounds. Tethered rides will be offered on Friday and Saturday evenings on a first come first serve basis. Tethered rides are weather permitting. There is a fee for these rides of $20 per person.

Planning Your Visit

The Airport

Events are hosted at the Cameron Memorial Airport. Arrive by 6:00 AM for the most dramatic sunrise ascensions across the Missouri landscape. Balloon flights are weather dependent and ONLY take place at approx 6am and 6pm. Launch sites are dependent upon wind direction and target location.

Schedule

Morning flights launch at daybreak. There will be some balloons fling in the evening, weather permitting. With an evening glow to begin at 8:00 PM, where balloons remain on the ground and light up the night sky.
